How the Project Began

Scene Gallery came to us with a working site on GoDaddy, but it didn’t feel like them. It didn’t match their creative style and it didn’t communicate the cinematic quality of their work. They wanted something clean, confident, and built to move, and they knew they needed a full custom build to get there.

They chose our Custom Web Design Package, which gave us everything we needed to start from scratch: full design control, complete copywriting, fresh SEO, animation planning, and a structure built for long-term use.

From the first meeting, they made it clear they wanted a website that carried the same energy as their films — intentional, sharp, and story-driven. Our job was to translate that into a digital experience that reflected their reel-worthy work.

Setting the Tone & Direction

Before touching the layout, we developed the brand voice: modern, confident, and slightly edgy. No corporate chatter. No filler. Just straight, clean language that matched the visual style Scene Gallery is known for.

We landed on one guiding word for the brand: cinematic.
Every decision — spacing, typography, copy, animation, flow — was shaped around that idea.

A Full Rebuild From Scratch

Scene Gallery’s old GoDaddy site gave us the starting point, but we didn’t reuse anything. We redesigned the entire experience with a custom layout and new structure that fully represented the creative quality of their work.

We built:

  • A clear homepage with sharp copy

  • An updated services framework

  • A cinematic portfolio section

  • Full-page video embedding

  • Clean CSS animation moments

  • Mobile layouts that finally worked well on the go

  • Dedicated contact forms for each service

The result feels like a true creative studio, not a template.

Showcasing the Work

Scene Gallery’s strength is in what they shoot, so the portfolio became a core part of the build. We created a gallery that supports both stills and video, with smooth motion, clean spacing, and a layout that keeps viewers focused.

Each project uses a case-study structure with:

  • A headline

  • A short overview

  • The result

  • A media section

  • Video embeds

  • Still photography

  • Optional carousels

This gives Scene Gallery room to expand their portfolio steadily without breaking the flow of the site.

Home Page, Services, and Structure

The homepage introduces their style quickly. Short lines. Clean pacing. Clear movement down the page.

The services section was rewritten from the ground up. Scene Gallery offers wedding films, event media, real estate shoots, brand content, corporate work, documentaries, drone work, and more — and their old site didn’t explain these well.

We created a consistent service layout that includes:

  • Short, direct descriptions

  • Strong headlines

  • A visual rhythm that stays consistent

  • Clear CTAs

Each service now has its own page with room to expand as new projects come in.

Motion, Video, and Interaction

Cinematic work deserves cinematic presentation, so we introduced controlled animation throughout the site — subtle fades, clean scroll flow, and movement that complements the visuals without competing with them.

Video embedding was another major upgrade. The new site supports full-width reels, project videos, and embedded portfolio films with smooth playback across desktop and mobile.

Mobile Experience

A large percentage of Scene Gallery’s traffic comes from potential clients browsing on their phones, so mobile optimization was a priority.

We reworked spacing, scaled video embeds, simplified navigation, and tested interactions across breakpoints. The site now feels just as strong on a phone as it does on a desktop.

SEO & Lead Capture

Scene Gallery didn’t have a strong SEO structure before the rebuild, so we built one from the ground up: metadata, clear slugs, structured content, keyword-aligned copy, and consistent headings. We also added lead capture through inquiry forms and service-specific contact flows so potential clients can reach out without friction.

They now have a site that works for both creative impact and practical conversion.

Timeline and Process

The entire project moved from kickoff to launch in four weeks. We handled:

  • Content gathering

  • Brand voice development

  • Copywriting

  • Design and layout

  • CSS/HTML work

  • Buildout on Squarespace

  • Video integration

  • Animation setup

  • Mobile adjustments

  • Custom forms and lead capture

  • SEO prep

  • Launch and DNS

The responsiveness of their team helped us move fast without sacrificing detail.

Final Notes

Scene Gallery wanted a site that finally looked like their work. Today, they have one. Their new site is clean, cinematic, and shaped around the way they tell stories through film. It feels modern, confident, and professional — and it’s built to grow with them as they add new projects, new partnerships, and bigger production work.
