Haskell Digital Services, LLC (“HDS,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website and services, how we use and share it, and the choices available to you.

This policy applies when you visit our website, submit a form, apply to start a project, subscribe to our emails, make a payment, or otherwise communicate or work with HDS.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

Depending on how you interact with HDS, you may provide:

  • Your business name, website address, industry, and contact information

  • Project goals, service preferences, budget information, timelines, and other application details

  • Website copy, photographs, logos, testimonials, links, account details, and other project materials

  • Messages, feedback, support requests, and communication preferences

  • Newsletter subscription information

  • Information needed to prepare agreements, invoices, or provide services

Please do not send sensitive personal information through our general website forms unless we specifically request it for a legitimate business purpose.

Payment Information

Payments may be processed through Stripe. Stripe collects and processes payment-card and billing information under its own privacy practices. HDS does not receive or store your complete payment-card number.

We may also accept cash or checks by prior arrangement. We retain only the records reasonably needed to document and administer those payments.

Information Collected Automatically

When you visit our website, Squarespace, Google Analytics, and related technologies may collect information such as:

  • IP address

  • Browser, network, device, and operating-system information

  • Pages viewed and actions taken on the website

  • Approximate location derived from an IP address

  • Referring website or traffic source

  • Visit dates, times, and duration

  • Cookie identifiers and similar technical information

Submitting a project application does not create a client relationship, reserve availability, or require HDS to accept the project.

We currently use:

  • Google Analytics, which helps us understand website activity and content performance

Where required, nonessential cookies are restricted until you make a selection through our cookie banner. You may also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, although doing so may affect some website functions.

HDS does not currently use advertising pixels for behavioral or targeted advertising. If that changes, we will update this policy and our cookie controls as appropriate.

4. Email Communications

If you subscribe to our newsletter or request marketing communications, we may send website guidance, company updates, service information, and related content through MailerLite.

You can unsubscribe at any time by using the link included in a marketing email or contacting us. Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent us from sending necessary project, billing, support, or account-related messages.

MailerLite processes subscriber information on our behalf under its own privacy practices.

5. How We Share Information

We may share information with service providers that help us operate our website and business. These providers may include:

  • Squarespace for website hosting, forms, analytics, and platform services

  • Google for website analytics and related services

  • MailerLite for newsletter subscriptions and email delivery

  • Stripe for payments, billing, subscriptions, fraud prevention, and transaction processing

  • Domain registrars, email providers, cloud-storage providers, client-management tools, and other vendors used to provide services

  • Accountants, attorneys, insurers, or other professional advisers when reasonably necessary

We may also disclose information:

  • When required by law, court order, subpoena, or other legal process

  • To investigate fraud, security incidents, or misuse

  • To protect the rights, safety, or property of HDS, our clients, or others

  • In connection with a merger, sale, restructuring, financing, or transfer of all or part of our business

We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not currently share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Service providers may process information only as needed to provide their services to us, subject to their agreements and applicable law. Their own privacy policies may also govern how they handle information.

6. Client Materials and Portfolio Use

Clients may provide business information, website content, photographs, logos, testimonials, and other materials during a project. We use those materials to perform the requested services.

We may display completed work, client names, business names, website links, testimonials, or other nonconfidential project information in our portfolio, case studies, marketing, social media, or educational materials when authorized by the client or permitted by the applicable service agreement.

We do not knowingly publish confidential account information, payment details, private communications, or other sensitive information as part of a portfolio example.

7. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • Respond to inquiries and applications

  • Provide and support services

  • Maintain business, payment, tax, and accounting records

  • Meet contractual and legal obligations

  • Resolve disputes and enforce agreements

  • Maintain authorized portfolio and project records

  • Protect against fraud or misuse

Retention periods vary based on the type of information and why it was collected. When information is no longer reasonably needed, we may delete, anonymize, or securely dispose of it.

8. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect personal information. We also rely on established service providers to host the website, process payments, and operate other business systems.

No website, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. You should use care when sending information online and avoid transmitting sensitive information through unsecured channels.

These rights may be subject to legal exceptions. For example, we may need to retain information for contractual, payment, tax, security, or legal reasons.

Because we do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising, we do not currently provide a separate “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” process. Where legally required, we will respond to recognized browser-based privacy preference signals.

10. Information About Other People

If you provide information or materials involving another person, you are responsible for confirming that you have the right and any required permission to provide that information to HDS.

11. Third-Party Websites and Services

Our website may link to client websites, social media platforms, payment services, scheduling tools, or other third-party websites. HDS does not control those third parties and is not responsible for their content, security, availability, or privacy practices.

Review the privacy policies of third-party services before providing information to them.

12. Children’s Privacy

Our website and services are intended for adults and businesses. They are not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

13. Processing in the United States

HDS is based in Maine, United States. Our service providers may process or store information in the United States or other countries. Privacy protections in those locations may differ from those in your place of residence.
